About me

Hi there! I’m Ronald Bellini, 28 years old, born and raised in Bologna, Italy—and if you love cooking at home (or are just getting started), you’ve come to the right place.

Growing up, food was always the heartbeat of our home. My mom made everything from scratch—fresh tagliatelle, slow-simmered ragù, and the fluffiest torta di riso you can imagine. I used to sit on the counter, legs swinging, watching her work her magic. At first, I was just in it for the tastes and smells, but before long I was rolling dough and stirring sauces myself.

I never planned to become a chef. After finishing university, I worked in marketing for a couple of years, but I always found myself thinking about food—planning meals, trying new recipes, experimenting late at night in my tiny apartment kitchen. Friends started asking me to teach them some basics, and that’s when I realized how much I love helping people feel at home in the kitchen.

Now, I spend my days sharing simple, approachable Italian recipes with home cooks all over the world. My philosophy? Good food doesn’t need to be complicated or intimidating. The best dishes usually start with great ingredients, a bit of patience, and a lot of heart. And hey, if you mess up a dish—no worries. I’ve burned more focaccia than I’d like to admit (the trick is not to get distracted scrolling on your phone while it bakes).

Through this page, I want to show you that anyone can cook delicious meals at home. Whether you’re whipping up a quick weekday pasta or trying your hand at homemade gnocchi on a lazy Sunday, I’m here to help. I’ll share my favorite recipes, tips I’ve learned (sometimes the hard way!), and plenty of stories along the way.

So grab a wooden spoon, turn on your favorite music, and let’s cook something amazing together. Ci vediamo in cucina—see you in the kitchen!
