Creamy Parmesan Garlic Shrimp Pasta is a rich and satisfying meal with tender shrimp, fresh garlic, and a smooth Parmesan cream sauce. Perfect for weeknights or date nights.
Ingredients
8 ounces fettuccine or spaghetti
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
3. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
6. Add Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth and melted.
7. Return shrimp to skillet, then add cooked pasta. Toss to combine and heat through.
8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use fresh Parmesan for best texture and flavor.
Save a little pasta water in case the sauce needs thinning.
You can use tail-on shrimp for presentation, or tail-off for easy eating.
For a gluten-free version, use your favorite gluten-free pasta.
Add steamed spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra depth.
